03.08.2009    Call for official entries from Bangladesh for the 2009 Asia Pacific Screen Awards.

Films will be considered in the following categories:
1. Feature Film
2. Animated Feature Film
3. Documentary Feature Film
4. Children’s Feature Film

Awards for 2009 will be given for the following achievements:
1. Jury Grand Prize
2. Best Feature Film
3. Best Animated Feature Film
4. Best Documentary Feature Film
5. Best Children’s Feature Film
6. Achievement in Directing
7. Best Screenplay
8. Achievement in Cinematography
9. Best Performance by an Actress
10. Best Performance by an Actor
11. FIAPF Award for outstanding achievement in film
12. UNESCO Award for outstanding contribution to the promotion and preservation of cultural diversity through film.

Eligibility
Only films that meet the following conditions may be submitted or invited for the 2009 Asia Pacific Screen Awards:
1. Films must be feature length, defined as over 60 minutes for Feature Films and Children’s Feature Films and over 40 minutes for Animated Feature Films and Documentary Feature Films.
2. Films must be theatrically released anywhere in the world, in a format generally acceptable for public exhibition or presented at a FIAPF accredited film festival or a recognised national film festival from the countries or areas of the defined Asia-Pacific region. The FIAPF accredited festivals are listed in Appendix II ("FIAPF Accredited Film Festivals").
3. A documentary must be theatrically released, broadcast on free to air, cable or satellite television, or presented at a FIAPF accredited film festival or recognised national film festival from the countries or areas of the defined Asia-Pacific region.
4. Films must have had first public screening AFTER 1 August, 2008 and BEFORE October 31, 2009.
5. The film must be identical in form with the final version in general release.
6. Co-produced films involving two (2) or more co-producers may be eligible.
7. All films must be presented in their original language and English subtitles are required for all entries not in the English language. All subtitling expenses are to be met by the film’s producer.
